Anthony Veder was awarded the KVNR Innovation award for the hybrid 7500cbm LNG/LPG/Ethylene carrier Coral Methane.

In November last year, Anthony Veder was presented with the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (KVNR) Innovation Award for the Coral Methane by the Dutch minister of economic affairs, Maria van den Hoeven.

The award was presented because the vessel is a unique concept. Particular points of note from the panel of judges were features including the Coral Methane's flexibility in terms of products it can carry. They also highlighted the vessel's ability to run on LNG, making it environmentally-friendly. As well as this, the position of the loading/unloading manifolds enables it to berth at conventional LNG terminals, the judges stressed.
